I have a new contract position now for the month of December... it's pretty boring actually but at least it will give me a little extra money for Christmas. I'm working at the Canadian Medical Protection Agency... they are the non-governmental agency that protects practising doctors from malpractice lawsuits... I guess you can never be too careful in this day and age.
Right now I'm on my lunch break and am not doing anything in particular except writing this blog. Sonia's business has really begun to take off.. She has 2 websites that she's doing for subdepartments of Indian and Northern Affairs and she's probably sold close to 500-1000 greeting cards in total to different clients during the holdiay season... and she's only been in business for 6 months... definitely things will continue to get better as she gets better recognition.
This weekend, Sonia and I are planning a weekend getaway up to Mont Tremblant to stay at a cozy chalet... although I don't think we'll be doing any skiing of any sort (neither one of us knows virtually anything about skiing). So, we'll just take in the lovely winter scenery and enjoy ourselves.
It's been 5 years since Sonia and I first started going out... wow how time flies. I am only 25 but I feel so old these days... but I guess there are lots of adventures that await us in the years to come...
Christmas is fast approaching and sadly my family hasn't anything planned. I've been finding since my parents passed away and my aunt and uncle have moved to BC,my father's side of the family has become quite disconnected. Nobody really talks to each other anymore... it's quite sad I think.. since it never used to be that way. When my parents were alive and I lived with them, we used to always get together for birthdays and Christmas etc. but now I'll probably be lucky to see all my family again in one place in the future. When I go down to Toronto to visit, I usually only get to see maybe one or 2 family members instead of seeing everyone like it used to be.
I guess that just tells me that things in life do change whether we like them or not... I guess that's all part of the master plan....
So, this Christmas I will spend here in Ottawa at Sonia's place and we'll open our presents on Christmas morning etc. I'm sure we'll both have a great time...I'm quite looking forward to it....
Until next weblog....
